Are you tired of constantly buying seedlings from the garden center, only to have them wilt and die within a week? Well, it’s time to take matters into your own hands and start your own seeds. And no, I’m not talking about using those flimsy plastic trays, I’m talking about using any means necessary to give your seeds the best start possible.

Let’s start with indoor greenhouses. Yes, you heard me right, greenhouses for your home. And, the best part is, they’re available on Amazon for a low cost. These little gems will allow you to start your seeds months before it’s warm enough to plant outside. Plus, you can control the temperature, moisture, and light levels, ensuring your seeds will grow into strong and healthy seedlings.

But, what if you don’t want to spend the money on a greenhouse? Well, there are plenty of creative and low-cost ways to start your seeds. For example, using a sunny window or an LED grow light, both of which can be found at your local hardware store. Above is an example of my set up. I have a very small house but found a corner with a window to set up my indoor greenhouses.
Now, let’s talk about putting in the time and effort to start your seeds. I know what you’re thinking, “Isn’t it easier to just buy seedlings from the garden center?” Well, yes and no. Yes, it’s easier, but you’ll also be spending more money in the long run. And, let’s be real, who wants to spend more money when they can save it by starting their own seeds?

Finally, let’s talk about greenhouses. Having your own greenhouse is like having a little slice of heaven in your backyard. You can start your seeds early, protect your plants from pests, and extend your growing season. And, if you’re feeling fancy, you can even purchase or build your own greenhouse. Below is an example of my dream greenhouse. But, be warned, once you have a greenhouse, you’ll never want to go back to just planting outside.

Starting your own seeds is a must for any gardener who wants to save money and love the results. Whether it’s using an indoor greenhouse, a sunny window, or starting seeds the old-fashioned way, putting in the time and effort will pay off in the long run. So, what are you waiting for?
